The Marketing and Social Research Association (MSRA) invites you to the GP Karting Grand Prix event on 1st March 2019.
1. OVERVIEW
- MSRA is focused on bringing together research agencies and researchers through creative engagements such as trainings, workshops and fun activities.
- This tournament gives you a chance to do this as well as build and showcase your team spirit.
2. VENUE/TIME
- The tournament will take place at the Racing Circuit on Carnivore Road, off Langata Road
starting from 4:00pm. We urge all to observe time.
3. PARTICIPATION & COSTS
All MSRA corporate and individual members are free to participate in this tournament.
MSRA Agency Members’ Participation
- All MSRA agencies are free to participate in this tournament as a team.
- Minimum number of participants per agency is 3.
- Agencies with lean staff can merge with other agencies.
- Participating agency teams will be referred to by their company names.
- Every participating team is required to pay Kshs. 14,000 which caters for only the
3 participants. - Every team should select/submit the name of a team representative.
- Entry is free for all other persons willing to attend to cheer their team.
MSRA Individual Members Participation
- All individual members not attached to any MSRA agency are free to participate by
forming a team with a minimum of 3 participants. - The team is free to select a name that they wish to be identified with.
- Every participating team is required to pay Kshs. 14,000 which caters for only the
3 participants. - Every team should select a team representative.
- Entry is free for all other persons willing to attend to cheer their team.
4. KEY WIN/TROPHIES
Two trophies will be given at this event:
- MSRA trophy for the Best Team
- MSRA trophy for the Best Driver
- Kindly note that this is a continuing tournament that will have various sessions this year. A winning team/driver will retain the trophy till the next tournament when they are supposed to return it to MSRA. Should a winning team/driver consecutively win the same title throughout the 2019 sessions then they get to retain the trophy forever at the end of the year.
5. FOOD/DRINKS
- Please note that every person should cater for their drinks/snacks.
6. OTHER ACTIVITIES
- There will be music available from a renowned DJ.
7. MSRA 2019 GP KARTING GRAND PRIX RULES

Failure to abide by any of the following rules may result in your disqualification.
a) TEAMS
- Each agency/team will provide 3 participants.
- Each Circuit will consist of a minimum of 9 racers.
b) GAMES AND AVERAGES
- Each team will have to do three rounds (practice, qualification and race) of 10 laps
each. - After which, we will get the best three from each team to take part in the final
race. - At the end of the day, we will have the best team based on time and best time.
c) REPORTING TIME
- Each agency should report to the tournament office by 4.00 pm to check in and
ensure they have all necessary information regarding their teams with them. - Late comers will lose 10 points from their best team average which will influence
their position.
d) BEST TEAM/DRIVER AWARD
- The Best Team will be determined by the combined scores of the team drivers.
(Example: First driver to finish will earn 10 points, Second driver earn 9 points etc.) - The Best Driver will be determined by the shortest lap time.
e) COMPLAINTS
- All claims for an error in scoring must be made to a race Marshalls immediately
